What one can&#8217;t help noticing right away is that unlike Charles Coburn in the original, Grant was far from beyond his prime: <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Walk-Dont-Run-Triangle.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Walk-Dont-Run-Triangle-1024x438.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"274\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-90668\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Walk-Dont-Run-Triangle-1024x438.png 1024w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Walk-Dont-Run-Triangle-300x128.png 300w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Walk-Dont-Run-Triangle-128x55.png 128w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Walk-Dont-Run-Triangle-768x328.png 768w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Walk-Dont-Run-Triangle-604x258.png 604w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Walk-Dont-Run-Triangle.png 1284w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; thus making his proclamation of romantic neutrality (he has a wife and kids back home who he talks to on the phone &#8212; though we never see them) less convincing all around. Indeed, pretty much everything about the storyline here feels contrived &#8212; and it&#8217;s nowhere near as humorous as the original. <\/p>\n<p>With that said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dvdtalk.com\/dvdsavant\/s794run.html\">DVD Savant&#8217;s generous assessment of the film<\/a> is worth consideration: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>Walk, Don&#8217;t Run<\/em> seems to convey Grant&#8217;s satisfied attitude after a long and rewarding career.
