I always appreciate behind-the-scenes looks at art being crafted, and consider this to be a worthy entry in that sub-genre; however, it’s not must-see viewing for all film fanatics.

Update on 2/15/23: RIP, Carlos Saura.

Notable Performances, Qualities, and Moments:

A creative cinematic rendering of dance

Must See?
No, though it’s worth a look.

Links:

IMDb entry

NY Times Dance-Centric Review

“Wake up the bride with the green bouquet of flowering love.” Synopsis: A dance company rehearses Federico Garcia Lorca’s tragic play “Blood Wedding”, in which a bride (Cristina Yoyos) runs away with her married lover (Antonio Gades), who soon faces her angry new husband (Juan Antonio Jimenez).
