Meanwhile, a handsome young recruit (Robert Wagner) falls for a beautiful local girl (Marisa Pavan), but ongoing battles pull all the men away from their love lives.\n<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>\n<strong>Genres, Themes, Actors, and Directors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dan Dailey Films<\/li>\n<li>James Cagney Films<\/li>\n<li>John Ford Films<\/li>\n<li>Love Triangle<\/li>\n<li>Rivalry<\/li>\n<li>Robert Wagner Films<\/li>\n<li>World War I Films<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Review: <\/strong><br \/>\nJohn Ford directed this colorful but unsatisfying adaptation of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/What_Price_Glory%3F_%28play%29\">Maxwell Anderson and Laurence Stallings\u2019 play<\/a> (first made as a <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=31528\">silent film by Raoul Walsh in 1926<\/a>). My sentiments about this film are just about the same as for Walsh&#8217;s version, which I was similarly unimpressed with.
