action movies, regard this as one of her best films,&#8221; he thinks &#8220;it&#8217;s disappointing,&#8221; noting that given she was &#8220;injured shooting a getaway scene, Jennings doesn&#8217;t have her usual vitality, and her sense of humor, much in evidence in her other films, is virtually non-existent.&#8221; and &#8220;nothing has to be resolved;&#8221; he suggests that &#8220;the film should have one major villain on the women&#8217;s tail,&#8221; and &#8220;also they should have a reason, other than to get rich, for robbing banks.&#8221; I agree. He writes: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We admire Jennings&#8217;s [characters] because they sought lifestyles and occupations that were both challenging and daring. Jennings is a roller derby star in Vernon Zimmerman&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=78247\"><em>The Unholy Rollers<\/em> (1972)<\/a>, probably her best film; the driver of a semi in Mark Lester&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=60294\"><em>Truck Stop Women<\/em> (1974)<\/a>; the lawyer for and a member of a group of lovers who deliberately test the country&#8217;s marital laws in Stephanie Rothman&#8217;s satirical <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=31364\"><em>Group Marriage<\/em><\/a>; a racer of superspeed cars in <em>Deathsport<\/em>; a seller of illegal alcohol in <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=78484\">Moonshine County Express (1977)<\/a>, [Peary&#8217;s] favorite Jennings film; and a bankrobber in <em>Dynamite Chase<\/em>.&#8221; <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Peary also lets us know he appreciates the fact that when Jennings &#8220;wasn&#8217;t undressed [in her films], there was a good chance she&#8217;d be in an unbuttoned blouse, a see-through mini-dress, or, as in <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=40174\"><em>Gator Bait<\/em><\/a>, tight cut-off jeans and an open vest with nothing underneath.&#8221; (!) <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Great-Texas-Dynamite-Shorts.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Great-Texas-Dynamite-Shorts.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"528\" height=\"384\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78230\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Great-Texas-Dynamite-Shorts.png 528w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Great-Texas-Dynamite-Shorts-300x218.png 300w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Great-Texas-Dynamite-Shorts-128x93.png 128w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Great-Texas-Dynamite-Shorts-371x270.png 371w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yes, I can see how this would be important to lovers of such films.
