which takes &#8220;place about 17 years after <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=76020\"><em>Fanny<\/em> (1932)<\/a>&#8221; and presents &#8220;a lovely, deeply moving film with the usual rich characterizations and passionate performances.&#8221;
