Pabst is best known for the two films he made starring the incomparable Louise Brooks: <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=1337\"><em>Pandora&#8217;s Box \/ Lulu<\/em> (1929)<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=43019\"><em>Diary of a Lost Girl<\/em> (1929)<\/a>. before being swept into an embrace by her enthusiastic new husband. <\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s most consistently impressive about Pabst&#8217;s work is his visual style, on ample display here.
