When she learns about a mysterious madman (Bela Lugosi) who creates a serum from the brides&#8217; corpses to keep his aging wife (Elizabeth Russell) looking youthful, Walters &#8212; with the help of a concerned doctor (Tristram Coffin) &#8212; concocts a plan to trap him.\n<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>\n<strong>Genres, Themes, Actors, and Directors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amateur Sleuths<\/li>\n<li>Bela Lugosi Films<\/li>\n<li>Horror<\/li>\n<li>Journalists<\/li>\n<li>Kidnapping<\/li>\n<li>Mad Doctors and Scientists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Review: <\/strong><br \/>\nThis run-of-the-mill horror flick by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.answers.com\/topic\/monogram-pictures\">Monogram Pictures<\/a> is, as noted by Richard Schreib at his <em>Moria Reviews<\/em> site, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moria.co.nz\/horror\/corpsevanishes.htm\">&#8220;marginally better&#8221;<\/a> than most of the Poverty Row studios pictures produced at the time &#8212; but ultimately not good enough to merit inclusion in Peary&#8217;s book.
