He notes that it &#8220;drags in spots, but holds interest due to sexy women&#8230; , smutty lines by [the] doctor&#8217;s wife(!!!), and [the] gathering of [a] strange group in a strange location.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Common-Law-Group.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Common-Law-Group.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"704\" height=\"528\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65220\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Common-Law-Group.png 704w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Common-Law-Group-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Common-Law-Group-128x96.png 128w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Common-Law-Group-360x270.png 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 704px) 100vw, 704px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He argues that the &#8220;existential aspects of the story would have made it an ideal project for some European director; in fact&#8230; if it were left intact, and made in a foreign language, it could pass as a masterpiece (that would be a suitable second feature to a film like <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=44702\"><em>Knife in the Water<\/em><\/a>).&#8221; Oh, Peary &#8212; not quite.
