Working on what was clearly an ultra-low budget, director Kinji Fukasaku and his crew try their best to evoke the fear and tension inherent in stopping a hurtling asteroid in mid-air, and Fukasaku ably transitions the story into its new central threat once the bubbly green slime makes its dastardly appearance:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime-1024x428.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"268\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-64714\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime-1024x428.png 1024w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime-300x125.png 300w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime-128x53.png 128w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime-768x321.png 768w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime-1536x642.png 1536w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime-604x252.png 604w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/Green-Slime-Green-Slime.png 1831w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Indeed, given recent threats of airborne pathogens and unknown substances beyond our control, the notion of killer slime isn&#8217;t really all <em>that<\/em> far-fetched.) Who cares?
