After Vitale passes away, Hope decides to bring his seven kids on the road with him, much to the consternation of his stern sister-in-law (Angela Clarke), who is helping to raise them.\n<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>\n<strong>Genres, Themes, Actors, and Directors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biopics<\/li>\n<li>Bob Hope Films<\/li>\n<li>Jimmy Cagney Films<\/li>\n<li>Musicals<\/li>\n<li>Raising Kids<\/li>\n<li>Vaudeville and Burlesque<\/li>\n<li>Widows and Widowers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Review: <\/strong><br \/>\nBob Hope starred in two &#8220;serious&#8221; dramas throughout his comedy-filled career, both biopics: this one about <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eddie_Foy_Sr.\">famed vaudevillian Eddie Foy, Sr.<\/a> (whose act with his seven children made headlines) and <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=3790\"><em>Beau James<\/em> (1957)<\/a>, about flamboyant New York mayor Jimmy Walker. Cohan) dancing together on a tabletop at the Friar&#8217;s Club &#8212; but considering the scene that comes immediately after this, it&#8217;s simply more evidence of Foy&#8217;s misguided loyalties.
