Jarman&#8217;s anger at Hernandez &#8212; including his desire for the &#8220;revenge&#8221; of paying Hernandez to complete their &#8220;transaction&#8221; &#8212; is a bold narrative choice, refusing to sugarcoat the intensely personal and challenging process of dismantling racism.
