A running gag about what a Scotsman wears under his kilt (or not) becomes tiresome, and it&#8217;s painfully egregious to watch Nigerian-British actor <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Orlando_Martins\">Orlando Martins<\/a> given such a demeaning role as an &#8220;African&#8221; (from where, exactly?) who only speaks one word of English: the name &#8212; &#8220;Blossom&#8221; &#8212; given to him by his compatriots. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Hasty-Heart-Blossom.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Hasty-Heart-Blossom-1024x752.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"470\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-65334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Hasty-Heart-Blossom-1024x752.png 1024w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Hasty-Heart-Blossom-300x220.png 300w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Hasty-Heart-Blossom-128x94.png 128w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Hasty-Heart-Blossom-768x564.png 768w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Hasty-Heart-Blossom-368x270.png 368w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Hasty-Heart-Blossom.png 1387w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(It&#8217;s ironic that Martins was purportedly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tcm.com\/this-month\/article\/359302%7C0\/The-Hasty-Heart.html\">&#8220;the most talkative person on the set.&#8221;<\/a>) With all that said, the story&#8217;s central message that we shouldn&#8217;t take a person&#8217;s gruff exterior as their &#8220;true&#8221;
