Can the humanoids be stopped before they ravage the entire town during the annual Salmon Festival?\n<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>\n<strong>Genres, Themes, Actors, and Directors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Horror Films<\/li>\n<li>Mutant Monsters<\/li>\n<li>Rape<\/li>\n<li>Roger Corman Films<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Review: <\/strong><br \/>\nNearly every review of this Roger Corman-produced horror flick calls out how many other films it either imitates or draws inspiration from &#8212; including <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=16897\"><em>Creature From the Black Lagoon<\/em> (1954)<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=35072\"><em>The Horror of Party Beach<\/em> (1964)<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=71150\"><em>Jaws<\/em> (1975)<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=38015\"><em>Halloween<\/em> (1978)<\/a>, and &#8212; in its shock-ending &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=16783\"><em>Alien<\/em> (1979)<\/a>. It&#8217;s beloved by fans of the genre for its no-holds barred treatment of what is only hinted at in all these other films &#8212; namely, the rape of nubile, sexually active young women by aliens (yes, that happens here, on-screen).
