But when Flor finds herself unconsciously lusting for her ex-husband, his sudden ghostly appearance complicates her new marriage.\n<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>\n<strong>Genres:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ghosts<\/li>\n<li>Love Triangle<\/li>\n<li>Romantic Comedy<\/li>\n<li>South and Central America<\/li>\n<li>Womanizers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Response to Peary&#8217;s Review: <\/strong><br \/>\nAs Peary notes, this &#8220;tremendously popular&#8221; Brazilian sex comedy &#8212; which bears resemblance to both Noel Coward&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=1136\"><em>Blithe Spirit<\/em> (1945)<\/a> and Spike Lee&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=2901\"><em>She&#8217;s Gotta Have It<\/em> (1986)<\/a> &#8212; is actually rather serious, and contains &#8220;few humorous moments&#8221;; indeed, the entire first hour of the film is spent showing how badly Flor is treated by her no-good husband. On the other hand, there&#8217;s plenty of ribald sensuality to enjoy, and the film&#8217;s underlying theme of female sexual empowerment is a satisfying one.
