Townsend (Jaglom&#8217;s real-life ex-wife, who never made another movie) is appealing here as Judy &#8212; though, as Peary notes, it gets annoying to watch her bursting into natural laughter (&#8220;usually through her tears&#8221;) every other minute. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Redeeming Qualities and Moments: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An oddly compelling look at the breakup of a friendly marriage<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/Always-Still.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/Always-Still-1024x792.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"495\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-62115\" srcset=\"https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/Always-Still-1024x792.png 1024w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/Always-Still-300x232.png 300w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/Always-Still-128x99.png 128w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/Always-Still-768x594.png 768w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/Always-Still-349x270.png 349w, https:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/03\/Always-Still.png 1251w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Must See? <\/strong><br \/>\nNo. Since the publication of Peary&#8217;s book, Jaglom has made other films &#8212; such as <em>Eating<\/em>  (1990) &#8212; which are better candidates for &#8220;must see&#8221; viewing.
