Eventually she enlists the help of an unusual teenage boy with a limp (Scott Jacoby), and the two fall in love.  <\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>\n<strong>Genres, Themes, Actors, and Directors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alexis Smith Films<\/li>\n<li>First Love<\/li>\n<li>Hiding Dead Bodies<\/li>\n<li>Jodie Foster Films<\/li>\n<li>Martin Sheen Films<\/li>\n<li>Orphans<\/li>\n<li>Psychological Horror<\/li>\n<li>Survival<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Response to Peary&#8217;s Review:<\/strong><br \/>\nThis &#8220;uncomfortable but interesting film&#8221; deals with one of my favorite cinematic tropes: independent kids who must survive on their own in an adult-centric world (see, for instance, <a href=\"http:\/\/filmfanatic.org\/?p=3066\"><em>Our Mother&#8217;s House<\/em><\/a>).
